  • About us

In the heart of the Dolomites, now Unesco Heritage, between the historical Verona and the fashionable Milan, thanks to the intuition of Guido Gasperi, GyForm was founded in 1957. His idea was to produce high-quality sofas not only for the Italian but also for the overseas markets.

His first contacts to open up to the overaseas markets (Europe, US, Far East and Middle East) came in 1968 at the Milan International Forniture Fair.

Very soon, the company, from a craft reality, becomes an industrial enterprise under the leadership of Guido's son, Fabrizio, who, like his father, conjugates tradition and technology.

Thanks to continuous research, innovation and a highly-flexible product, GyForm is a well-established and internationally acknowledged brand. Overseas markets play an important role in the company's history.

Since the very beginning, production has been based on leading principles: quality, desing, functionality and eco-friendly materials.

With time, these outstanding competencies have allowed GyForm to make a collection that is distinctive for taste, technology, creativity and durability on the international market of design and quality upholstered furniture.

In 2004 Gyform is certified ISO 9001: 2000

Gyform’s factory cover today a total area of 10,000 square meters  where there are in addition to the factory floor, the area devoted to research and development and product engineering prototypes, and a show-room available to operators and professionals.

Gyform collaborates with leading designers and the path that characterizes the company is mainly related to the production of seating for the home environment.

  • Philosophy

Thanks to an elegant production of sofas and armchairs, Gyform has become a benchmark for high-end furnishings all over the world. A brand that combines quality and tradition and that pursues continuous innovation and a new vision of the future. A working method that preserves the ancient culture of master upholsterers and combines it with the continuous technological innovation of the production lines.

The products are finished in the traditional way but with the use of the best  'opportunities' offered by the industry in order to reach high-quality handmade creations made to measure. All  products comply with the strictest ISO standards. On one side, the hand-made. On the other one, the fast pace of the present that relies on technology to reach new achievements.

Products are all bound together by a common thread: an innovative and functional design, particular attention to details,  value for money and choice of raw materials of high quality. For example, the wood for the construction of the frames (strictly solid wood), the stuffing for pillows (goose down and polyurethane foam of different densities) and leather and fabrics made exclusively in Italy.

  • Innovation

In Italy and abroad Gyform is synonymous of quality. Every detail is carefully designed. Each piece and all its components are made with materials of the highest quality.

The structures of sofas are exclusively made of solid beech, poplar, pine or fir, and assembled by hand to ensure durability. For best comfort, the padding is made of polyurethane with different densities. Only polyurethanes without any harmful substances for human beings or the environment are selected.  However, a wide range of densities and types of foam are available to provide each customer with the best product according to their needs. For the seat cushions, non-deformable polyurethane foam, coupled with quilted feather or Dacron, is used, thus guaranteeing an extra-soft top.

Fabrics and leathers are meticulously controlled by experts to remove any imperfections before the cutting phase. Once templates are cut, every single piece is checked again.  They are then sent to the sewing department, where highly skilled staff takes care of the finishings. Special attention is also given to both internal and external seams which are constantly tested for tear resistance.

In the assembly department the product receives its final shape and is once again inspected before being sent to the shipping department. A careful behaviour is followed also from the ecological point of view to reduce and / or remove any chemical contaminants such as CFC, formaldehyde, etc. for the protection of the environment.
